Front Porch: You are beautiful, inside and out

Hi Beautiful,

Last week was International Beauty Day, and I just love celebrating this day. Not only because beauty is international and universal and everyone possess it, but because this is a day to celebrate that beauty is more than what’s on the outside.

It’s also what’s on the inside.

A woman’s beauty includes her heart. Her soul, emotion, feelings, intellect, passion. That’s where the real beauty is.

And you ARE beautiful. Inside and out. You are one-of-a-kind. You are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Even if you missed International Beauty Day, it’s not too late to still celebrate it. Take some time for yourself and show yourself some extra love for being your uniquely made beautiful self!

Xoxo

New Article: Shift Your Perception, Love Your Life: How to Know a Good Thing When You See it

Henry David Thoreau said, “It’s not what you look at that matters. It is what you see.”

In a recent episode on the Kim Gravel Show, How to Know a Good Thing When You See It, Kim discussed the importance of paying attention to your perception of every situation.

“Perception,” she said. “It’s how you’re looking at it—it’s not what you’re looking at.”

With that in mind, she said, it’s important that we spend time each day moving out of our data-driven mindsets and into truly perceiving what’s around us. When we do, we see that we’re surrounded by good things. Even situations that seem “bad” or difficult have a lesson to teach us.

Kim started the podcast episode with the story of a recent evening when she “lost it” with her family.

Catch up: Chatting with a CIA spy

If you were ever wondered if being a spy was as exciting as a Tom Clancy novel, then you’re not going to want to miss this week’s episode of The Kim Gravel Show.

My guest was Jonna Mendez, former CIA Chief of Disguise, and the conversation we had was incredible.

It wasn’t just the stories she shared, like her first encounter with a terrorist and having a grenade thrown at her, but also her overall message. Jonna’s story is all about empowerment and walking boldly in your gifts and talents. As a CIA agent, she had to navigate the challenges of being a woman in the agency, which meant she had to learn to embrace and step into her power.

Tune in and get ready to be inspired to step out of your comfort zone and into the next exciting chapter of your life. Listen here.
